Good Eats Live

Ten years - that's a lot of Good Eats episodes (over 200 and counting) and a fine reason to celebrate with a Good Eats Live show - August 29, 2009, at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre, Atlanta GA.

You can count on Alton to bring along a few cast members, some favorite props, puppets and costumes, and of course there'll be plenty of food-related things going on, including TV personality and pal Ted Allen to test AB's food-factoid wisdom.
A little Q & AB with the audience, archive video of some best-of-show moments, plus a bit of Good Eats musical interlude by tune-and-sound director Patrick Belden and his very small orchestra.

For the fans, this is a not-to-be-missed mashup of all things Good Eats.

Good Eats: The Early Years

Early Years CoverThe minute AB put the final touches to Good Eats: The Early Years, he was on a plane en route to shooting Next Iron Chef, but he wanted folks to know -- October 2009, the first book of the trilogy hits bookstore shelves. It was an awesome task, putting the first 80 episodes into one tome, but he packed in 140 recipes (with updates), a ton of scientific data, factoids and tips, along with screen grabs, behind-the-scene photos and AB-style illustrations.
Starting with the premier episode, "Steak Your Claim" through “Pork Fiction” (baby back ribs), to “Citizen Cane” (caramel sauce), to “Oat Cuisine” (oatmeal), the first 4 years' episodes are all represented, with the second volume due out Fall 2010.
